J'ai récemment été invité par Toby Thane Neighbors à participer au collectif Illostribute, qui rend hommage à des grands illustrateurs du passé. Voici ma première contribution, faite dans le cadre d'un hommage à Al Hirschfeld. Cette illustration est aussi présentée sur le blog (en russe) de Victor Melamed, qui traite d'arts graphiques.

I was recently invited by Toby Thane Neighbors to participate in the Illostribute collective, which pays tribute to great illustrators of the past. Puces Pop Printemps

Lea et moi venons de faire un zine qui sera en vente à la foire Puces Pop Printemps en fin de semaine (5 et 6 juin), à la Fédération Ukrainienne, au 5213 Rue Hutchison à Montréal. On espère vous y voir!

Lea and I made a zine which will be sold at the Puces Pop Spring fair this week-end (June 5 and 6), at the Ukrainian Federation, 5213 Hutchison in Montreal. We hope to see you there!

Les Épinettes Noires au Worldwide Short Film Festival

Mon film d'animation Les Épinettes Noires sera présenté au Worldwide Short Film Festival, organisé par le Canadian Film Centre (CFC) à Toronto. Le film sera projeté deux fois au cinéma Cumberland, le 4 juin à 15h15 et le 6 juin à 16h30. Voici la fiche du film et le programme dont il fait partie.

Dans le cadre du festival, le film est aussi disponible en visionnement gratuit sur Internet, sur le canal Festival Picks de Babelgum.

Autre chose : le 15 et 16 mai dernier, le Musée d'Art de Kochi, au Japon, présentait Le Voleur, mon premier court-métrage d'animation, dans le cadre d'une programmation de films québécois.

My animation film The Black Pines will be screened at the Worldwide Short Film Festival, held by the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) in Toronto. The film will be screened twice, first at 15:15 on June 4th, then at 16:30 on June 6th at the Cumberland cinema. Here are the film's details and the program it is part of.

As part of the festival, the film is also available on the web for free, on the Festivals Picks channel of Babelgum.

Another thing : this May 15th and 16th, the Museum of Art of Kochi in Japan, presented The Thief, my first animation short film, as part of a program of Quebec films.

Les Épinettes Noires à la Cinémathèque québécoise

Mon nouveau film d'animation, Les Épinettes Noires, sera présenté à la Cinémathèque québécoise à Montréal, le mercredi 25 novembre à 21h, dans le cadre de l'évènement "Jeunes créateurs : 20 ans à peine". Les projections de la journée seront gratuites, et je serai là pour celle de 21h, alors venez faire un tour! Voici l'horaire complet des projections.

My new animation film, The Black Pines, will be screened at the Cinémathèque québécoise in Montreal, on wednesday november 25th at 9PM, as part of a special event called "Jeunes créateurs : 20 ans à peine" (Young creators : only 20 years old). All the screenings will be free for the occasion, and I will be there for the one at 9PM, so come take a look! Here is the complete screening schedule (in French).
